Lola Ogden, age 74 and a resident of Porterville CA all her life, passed away in the comfort of her home on June 15, 2022, surrounded by her family and closest friends. Lola was born May 21, 1949, on the Tule River Indian Reservation.
Lola was employed with the Tule River Health Clinic for 33 years as a patient transporter prior to her retirement. In retirement, Lola enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, reading, baking, cooking and traveling with her family. She was best known as “gram”. Lola was a huge supporter of 4-H and other community activities. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of her friends, family, and fellow community members.
Her surviving family includes sister, Susan Williams, two sons Mike "Oly" Ogden and wife Maria, Manuel Ogden and wife Gail, of Porterville; three daughters Rose Gonzalez and husband Vicente of Porterville, Ophie Lopez of Visalia, Lisa Grijalva of Porterville, also numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Parker, her husband, Mike Ogden, her brother, James “Nacho” Diaz, and her son, Shannon “Bundy” Ogden.
Visitation will be on Monday June 20th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Porterville Funeral and Cremation, with an evening service starting at 6:00pm at the Church on the Hill on the Tule River Indian Reservation. Graveside service will be on Tuesday June 21st, at 10:00am at the Ogden Ranch.
