Annie Andrea Armstrong, passed away at the age of 73 on May 19, 2021 in Tulare, California. She was born in French Camp Stockton on July 26, 1946, she was raised in Porterville, California most of her life. Graduated from Porterville High School and received her A.A at Porterville College. Beginning a family early, but always maintaining a roof over our head, job, and school. She continued her education becoming a Psy Tech for the Porterville Developmental Center, and later became a Unit Supervisor for Unit 21 until medically retiring but was very much respected in her field.
A mother of five children: Kathy, Johnny, Denise, Rene, and Adrian. Family-oriented and instilling common courtesy, structure, and love to her children. She had always been hard working and ensuring that her family came first. She became sick with cancer, losing a kidney but never gave up. Remarkably showing “us” that giving up was never an option.
She was preceded in death by her two sons Rene Hernandez and Johnny Hernandez, two sisters Jesse Chavez and Rosie Hernandez, and parents Felix and Ofelia Hernandez. She is survived by her partner in life Manuel Gurrola, her children Kathy Salas, Denise Hernandez, and Adrian Hernandez, many grandchildren, and even many more great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
